I don't know if anyone is interested, but this article by Jim Quinn does a fantastic job of explaining what happened and is happening to America. It doesn't leave you with much hope, but I guess knowing the problem is the first step in fixing it.

Only issue I see is that his whole article is premised upon GDP. The economy in this country was measured by it's GNP until what, 15 years ago? Big difference between the two, yes?
