I can't find much about my particular model. I recently acquired (waiting to have it shipped to my RI FFL) a model 37. This particular one is unique from any other 37's I have seen as it has a nickle finish. The gun in in mint condition and looks to have been fired very little, if any at all. The wood is nice and clean without any dirt or stains and the plastic butt plate and grip-cap are perfect without a single scratch. The serial numbers show a 1978 mfg date. It has the extended mag tube and I think is a 20" barrel. Any help on production numbers, availability, or value would be greatly appreciated. I can't seem to find too much info on this variation.

FWIW, I have no intentions of selling this. I just want to have a better idea of what I have.

Sorry, no pics at this time.

Is it an original finish or was it redone? Not that I'm an expert, but all of the Ithaca 37s I've seen have been blue.

BTW, I hate you. [wink]

I've been wanting a DSPS for a while, but haven't found one.

Yeah, I know I have to hang on Gunbroker more.

Looks to be original. From what I can find online from other forums, it looks like they did make some (i'm not sure how many), but I can't find any solid info on them.
