Anyone knowledgeable about Japanese WWII rifles out there? If the Substitute 02/45 was made from scavanged parts including the Type 35 action, how does one know if a gun is a genuine Substitute Rifle? Meaning, how can you tell if someone else scavenged a type 35 action from a rifle, put it in a type 99 stock, and calls it a Substitute?
Any pointers would be appreciated.
