Don't use alkaline batteries in your red dot and forget to remove them when not in use, duh!
I couldn't get the battery cap off my comp M4 without using channel locks, haven't used this gun in a couple years. fortunately the leakage was minimal and the optic still works, I caught it in time. Just a good cleaning of the battery compartment and a new cap which I just ordered.
