Just got a Glock 34 and I love it

Just got me a new Glock 34 via personal transfer. Love the feel of the gun, very similar to my M&P .40, very comfortable and nice balance of recoil. After 200 rounds on the first trip with it to the range I had no failures whatsoever. It looks like it will stand beside my M&P with which I have over 1000 rounds without a single failure.
I was always curious about Glock and this one did not disappoint me.

The G34 is accurate as hell and is built like any other Glock. It will fire thousands of rounds without a hiccup and I hear only good things about the 34. It will be perfect for IDPA if you shoot that but it is a good 9mm in general. IIt really isn't close to the M&P40, it's more like the M&P Pro 9mm. The Glock 17 would be comparable to the M&P 9/40. But I know what you mean, the M&P line feels a tad bit bigger in my hand than my G17. Enjoy your new Glock!

I picked up a new g34 a few months ago as well. It is one of the best performers right out of the box that I have ever shot.

You're right, only good things I hear about this gun. Im not sure of the M&P Pro as I have not used one yet but can get what you mean. IDPA is one of the things I had in mind when I decided to get one. Now to build up the guts to try and join the league

The G34 is awesome but personally I would rather buy a G17, save the 200 do a trigger job... there is only a small difference in barrel length and other than that the 34 has a lighter trigger and the slide and mag release are "extended"
