Does RI let you just drive through it if you're carrying but only licensed in MA and CT? Do you have to unload it, take it apart to the pins, double lock it at the RI border, and then once you cross back into MA, take it out and 'carry' it again? Or can you just leave it on your hip the whole ride and whole 2 minutes you're driving through RI?

11-47-8 was amended in 1975 to allow anyone licensed to carry from any state or territory to carry in a vehicle whether concealed or not, while passing through the state with no intention to remain in Rhode Island.
