Here is my addition. Spud and I came across a gentleman's collection on another venue. He was a big time collector and passed away. The widow had a friend that worked as a broker to help sell the collection. This collection seems to be flawless. Majspud and I both missed out on the G41 experimentals version. When the Nazis were figuring out their semi automatic (Hitler's Garand) they made a prototype that ended up in this man's collection. This experimental Nazi prototype sold immediately for the mild sum of $15,000. I bring that up to only give you some idea of the quality of the collection.
I had to "settle" for something more in my price range. I purchased my first K43 for my collection. It's a 1944 Walther (AC). It is an all matching museum piece. Cartouche on the butt crisp and intact.. When I unwrapped it, i had high expectations but never expected what I saw. I think I am in love with a 75 year old.....
