I am looking to get a PM9 and was wondering if anyone has issues with the safety either being turned on or off when holstering or un-holstering the firearm?

It looks like its in a place on the firearm where that might happen.

I've had my PM9 for about a year. I do not use the safety and it has never inadvertently engaged.

I don't carry my PM9 very often but pocket carry when I do (with a DeSantis Nemesis, which doesn't cover the safety).
I've had no problems with the safety being engaged by clothing.
But then I've never had to pull it under stress.

Same here. Its actually a bit awkward to engage it on purpose. Kind of rounded off and my thumb sort of slips over it rather than engaging it. Hard to do it on purpose, cant see it happening by accident, especially in a holster.

Mine must have fallen off...

I own one and pocket carry it. As said above the safety isn't easy to engage. I don't see it as a problem.

^^this
but it didn't stop me from performing some simple abrasion and super glue placement at the safety/frame interface.....yeah now it's really not going to be engaged.

honestly i sort of prefer the MA-compliant Kahr models because I happen to like the LCI. not that i use it but I've got no problem with the way Kahr designed their LCI - perfect IMO.

I'd be surprised if you engaged the safety accidentally; I find it hard to engage intentionally. Maybe it would break in if it were ever used?

I appreciate the feedback everyone!

Is the trigger pull weight on the compliant PM9 the same as the free-state version?

shorter pull by 1/8th of an inch, that's it. They call it the Enhanced trig.

buddy of mine who used to work at Kahr told me they put the thumb safety so that they wouldn't have to put a 10lb pull. apparently it was easier for them to build in the thumb safety then mess with their trigger.

also the Kahr trigger is so dandy I'm quite grateful they didn't screw it up just to please Marcia and friends.

Free state version is 5lbs +/- about 2oz on a Lyman digital. It is a fairly long pull but very smooth with a consistent break and a nice reset. Probably the best stock striker-fired trigger I've felt. (Granted it's not a high bar.)

No problems here either. I carry at the 5 o'clock position with a cross breed. Never had an issue.

I just wish Kahr would come out with a stainless mag release to replace the cheap one.

And I replaced the sights with Williams Firesights in green, fiber optic only version.

Get some extra mags for range practice.
