I had to send my new PF-9 back to the factory for fail to feed issues. It was recieved by them on 6/13. I've been attempting to get a status report, you know, tough questions like, "Was anything found wrong with the gun?", "What is Keltec planning to do to repair the gun?" and "When can I expect it back?". What I got was form e-mails with nothing specific. Until this morning, a response from an actual person(yea) at least answering one of my questions by stating exactly this:
Received on 6/13/08, there is a 4-6 week turnaround time
nice [angry]
Is this this a normal turnaround time on gun repairs?

It took about 3 weeks when I sent my Sub2000 in for repair. This was a few years ago. They never e mailed me and just returned it with a letter saying what they replaced.
I think I remember calling to find out what was going on with it.

Depends on the company a lot of them seem to vary depending on how much
load they have.

For instance, I sent a gun to S+W for performance center work and it look over a month to come back. I had a couple of other guns for S+W that I sent out and got back inside of a week.

As the day wore on, the situation started to bug me more and more. Sure if I sent the gun in for custom work then that's my choice and should expect the wait. But this gun was problematic from the first mag and then got worse. First its a gun built for personal protection, at the very least it should fire reliably from the factory...no? Keltec, turned very nonchalant toward me after the intial call, now to be told I have to wait 6 weeks for my bought new gun to be returned...I call foul.
I just had to send them a nasty gram...and I'm done with Keltec products
