I have 2 close friends that had that procedure done, and it changed their lives for the better.

Her problem is not a joke, it is a failure of socialized medicine IMHO

i can't read the article, i don't want to submit to their "partners" holding me hostage, but if serious and her issue was naturally real, yeah, i agree with appraiser. i also had a friend with this issue and insurance wouldn't help her. the damn cost was mind blowing for out of pocket payment. my friend had more class than to put out a public appeal to fund any surgeries.

ok, now adult talk, kids...leave the room...son of a bitch, they were fun. not ashamed to admit it. last time i saw her was probably the last time i smiled. [frown]

I've also had friends who needed a reduction. But that was after doing their best to lose them by losing weight. I'd have more sympathy for this woman if she had a healthy BMI and still had the back pains.

Were their surgeries covered by private insurance? I'd have thought private insurance in the US would fight this as cosmetic as well.

8k sterling is a lot of money, but not so much that one needs to resort to begsourcing for a non life threatening issue. Put it on a credit card or two if it's that important to quality of life. I'm actually surprised British healthcare doesn't cover this to avoid future expense of ongoing chronic back and respiratory issues. I do recognize that it would better her life, but I feel like she could help herself here without having to reach for the handout.

One of my childhood friends, one of "the ones that got away" had to have this done, because her tits were killing her back. I think she went from D to C.... still has an awesome rack at 40.... [laugh]

What is that vertical line bulge up her belly? Something medical related or maybe her umbilical cord is still taped to her?
