LC9 mag release

Okay I have never had this problem with my Ruger LC9 and all of a sudden today this started happening. I'd be in the middle of shooting and my magazine would release, of course causing the gun not to load the next round and me being confused why my gun wasn't shooting (I figured out that the magazine was out pretty quickly). I mean this happened once every single time I was shooting thru the magazine.

Anyone have any suggestions to prevent this from happening (besides getting a new gun )?

I've never had that happen with my LC9. If anything, the mag release is a little stiff. My weapon gives me no trouble, but I've heard a lot of complaints from others. Could be that quality assurance isn't what it ought to be.

This happened to me. Was looking at the LC9 and got a chance to shoot it. I kept accidentally hitting the mag release which was an indicator the gun wasn't for me.

Same with mine, I always felt it was stiff and required slightly more effort then I would think needed to release the mag...never the less, I no longer own the LC9
