Looking for a decent resource for lead shot. I know prices are substantially higher than they used to be, but something’s gotta give.

Best deal found, and it’s not even that great has been from rotometals. Cost is meh, but free shipping, which saves some. Still over $65 a bag for 25# of 8s.

Probably CAC Associates if you are buying a pallet and have access to a forklift to unload. Other than that, its hit and miss

$65 a bag...good grief. Don't load/shoot a lot of shotshell and still working off a few bags i bought years ago for less than $1/LB.

Even reclaimed shot

I bought ashot maker way back when lead was climbing past $30 a bag. At that time I shot ATA . I did not load to save money for trap it was just a pita getting several thousand rounds for the season vs loading it.
Making my own shot I saved a little hard cash on lead but the savings where washed up in time.
Making lead shot is a pita . Im done to about 150lbs of shot . Some day I will make more but i might shoot 100 rounds a year now. If that

This is what we do down here $50 a bag if your a member of the sporting clays club here down in FL.

Up in North Central, people in clubs got together and put their orders in for bags and got a pallet or whatever full to get the price break.

I will admit 12Gauge loads, its almost not worth reloading anymore...I just do it because i have the time and its nice to have loads on hand...plus I load for 28 and that produces real savings for sure.
