Hello,

Would throwing one on the front of my rifle via rails make it illegal or is it kosher? Thinking about buying a grip but unsure of legality.

Yup, just don't slide it onto the rail of a handgun such as a Glock 17. That would be "manufacturing an AOW" and highly illegal as was pointed out to me. [grin]

Rifle? Carry on.

Legal, but on a Tavor? Why would anyone want a VFG on a Tavor? I could see maybe a hand stop or barrier stop, but not a vfg.

Maybe it was born a Tavor, but identifies as AUG?

Kosher all the way, especially if it comes from FAB Defense. Keep it Israeli-made through and through!

That said, you need to take a Tavor Operator course. You will find that the rifle is designed for a purpose and it does it well without vertical grips or $300 triggers. When I took the course, we had this former Army guy who used a Tavor with a vertical handle. He had trouble holding steady during rapid-fire exercises. Horizontal target transitions were terrible and he had trouble hitting steel at 100 yards. He barely passed the quals at the end of the course...
