Legislative push starts to repeal Massachusetts gun law

You mean mostly consisting of about a half million f***stick libtards and "80% jingocons" that also happen to own guns? Most of those licenses aren't going to people who think like we do on these issues. Not sure why you consistently fail to understand this concept. You keep forgetting this state is majority moonbat, moonbat adjacent (eg, like people who thought romney and baker were great) etc.

The demographics here are completely untenable for rkba advocates. The only viable relief path is through federal court.
LOL great descriptor:

moonbat adjacent (eg, like people who thought romney and baker were great)

Sadly, I have to agree. I know a fair number of gun owners and for the most part they fail to understand the restrictions being imposed or think that they are "reasonable." Most of the people here are far more active than the norm, but there are a significant number that don't get involved in anything even remotely political.

It's for those reasons that I was opposed to the idea of gathering signatures and putting the repeal on the ballot. We all saw how the alleged majority gave illegal aliens driving licenses. Our civil rights should never be subject to the whims of the vulgate for any reason. I could foresee the majority Moonbats voting away our rights in the name of public safety and sealing the deal by saying it was democracy.

Yes, half of them talk about "how nice the licensing officer is", while ignoring the fact that the entire process is the state kicking you directly in the nuts to simply exercise a right.

On the other hand that makes for a pretty whopper level of standing in Federal court.

I can see even scotus going "no, even if you are really dumb you can't vote to oppress the civil rights of the remaining minority "

Actually Healey has cut taxes. I hate to admit it but she has.

And it's not just for "working folks". She's reducing the estate taxes.

Tell the people paying their EverSource bill that. Gas is LESS expensive than last year yet bills have doubled... why... Healey jacked the fees EverSource has to pay into Mass Save and PACE, which they pass along to you in your delivery charge.

Estate taxes are theft and mAss still sucks compared to the other states in New England, except for Rhode Island.

Absolutely 100% wrong. CT is now worse than MA. By a lot. The income taxes are higher in CT. They also apply sales tax to more necessities, like home heating oil.

Based on this ranking, VT, ME, CT, and RI all have an overall higher tax burden than MA. I've looked at other lists and the ordering is pretty much the same.

Don't get me wrong. I've already got one foot in NH. (Which has the second LOWEST tax burden) But MA is nowhere near the worst in the northeast. (NY is Northeast and they have the #1 highest burden)

I only mentioned estate taxes in my post that you quoted. Friends don't let friends die in Massachusetts.

People move in or out for a variety of reasons.

We moved here 13ish years ago because we both worked in life sciences and the jobs in CT were drying up. I had lost my job and my wife's company was circling the drain.

She was approached by a recruiter and agreed to take a job in Cambridge for a 40% pay increase.
After we moved, I found a job in 6 weeks.

Since we've moved here, our house has gone up in value by 150%.

The politics drives me nuts. Especially since Trump won in 2016. They all lost their minds when that happened.
CT was liberal but not woke. No boys in girls locker rooms. Once the kids are out of HS we will cash out our Metro West home and build something for 1/3 the price on the 28 acres in NH that we bought years ago for pennies on the dollar.

My sister has a large home in a shoreline community in CT with an apartment over the garage. We'll be there a lot over the summer.

So . . in summary. MA has a lot to offer when you are in your prime earning years. But once that is over. It's best to leave.

Like you said. Friends don't let Friends die in MA
