Leicester police seize some dude's BOB

According to the Telegram, he's being held without bail (shocking). He also has a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Thursday, where the judge will find him too dangerous to let back into society.

The nitwit guy on NECN this afternoon referred to it as a "HUGE arsenal"
If this is a huge arsenal, what would a medium or small arsenal be? Zero guns?

Sent via Tapatalk on my Android phone. Good news; Tapatalk sucks less than it used to.

The MA state police major in the press conference needs a dope slap, what a tool. As you said, they even brought in the chair of the selectmen for the press conference for an arrest of no permission slip. The news stations are having an orgasm showing the pics every 15 minutes.

On the table of hype there were two extra AR complete uppers with no lowers. So he had one AR, 2 pistols, some mags and ammo plus all the really illegal stuff like a bulletproof vest, survival bag, etc. [rolleyes]

There must have been 12 liecester police patches spaced every 4 inches to make sure a patch is in every possible picture.

Did you see their show and tell news conference? The Mass St police major Francis Lahey explained what an VERY serious situation this was. They even said they were told by some that the guy may have been looking for a suicide by cop scenario. Which is even more interesting since they caught the guy wearing a bulletproof vest.

Channel 7 in Boston was hyping it like the others. In the segment, they interviewed morons at gas stations, in parking lots, etc. and asked what they thought and were they scared, etc. One 20 something burnout looking douche said 'no one needs a machine gun like that'. [rolleyes]

[thinking][rolleyes]

"This is an officer's worst nightmare," said Major Francis Lahey of the Massachusetts State Police. "The damage or the carnage that
could have been inflicted by the firepower is almost unthinkable."

I had had to do a double take on the patches, I could not believe they actually did that. Just plain stupid but playing to sheep.

The hype over this is insane. The guy may or may not have slapped his GF and they're making him out to be Al Capone. Got to justify those salaries.

Yep. It still doesn't add up. How does what they are claiming led them to his house end up with the guy bugging out just before they get there with gear and a boat and multiple rides coordinated, police helicopters and manhunt? It doesn't add up.

This case stinks. Perfectly legal firearms and accessories in most other states.

This will play into any effort of douchebags like Toomey and Linsky to push again for banning body armor because only cops should have clothing that can save their lives. [rolleyes]

And WRT the train thefts, unless the wording of NYC statutes are different from other states, I'm amazed they could convict that kid for theft. One of the T conductors years ago told me about a case where a man decided to take, it was either his son or grandson, for a ride and used a steam locomotive and train that had been parked. The railroad did catch the guy and brought him up on charges of theft.

The judge threw the case out.

Reason: the train never left railroad property.

In the pic of the AR, the hammer and trigger pins look strange to me. Does anyone know what brand of AR it is and why the pins look so large?

Looks like some type of 'anti-walk' trigger and hammer pins to me...

So this kid was brought into court today for his dangerousness hearing. His bail on another open matter was revoked for 90 days, so this hearing is to determine if there are any conditions they can place on him that could insure the safety of the community.

Although he has no convictions on his record, the ADA submitted a slew of police reports to the judge showing this kid's been in fights in nightclubs. Then he went on to describe the arsenal the kid was found with, including 50 cal magazines, interchangeable stocks that allow him to use various caliber ammunition in his assault rifle, and the fact that he didn't instantly drop to the ground when so ordered by the police when apprehended, risking his own life and those of the troopers.

Needless to say, the kid was found dangerous, and will not be seeing the light of day before trial.

At this point they should just skip the show trial and burn him at the stake [thinking]

Still waiting for those terrible things that supposedly started all this to be charged against him....

maybe the ada can let me know which interchangeable stocks he had that allow diff ammo to be used.

Interesting. How do you prove that sans any convictions? Just the good word of the prosecutor?

Then he went on to describe the arsenal the kid was found with, including 50 cal magazines, interchangeable stocks that allow him to use various caliber ammunition in his assault rifle,

Different stocks allow you to change calibers? Wow! Those are some cool stocks! Where does one get one of those?

and the fact that he didn't instantly drop to the ground when so ordered by the police when apprehended, risking his own life and those of the troopers.

Sort of like how Marcus Jeter didn't immediately comply with police, or maybe David Kassick, or Walter Scott, or a slew of others?

Needless to say, the kid was found dangerous, and will not be seeing the light of day before trial.

Not surprised in the least, though that lack of surprisal has nothing to do with me thinking he is dangerous, sadly.

Looks like he pleaded guilty. sentenced to 2½ years to 2½ years and a day in state prison....

Hmmm??? 2 1/2 years...for :
"26 indictments charging him with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possessing a large-capacity feeding device, unlawfully possessing ammunition, threatening to commit a crime, use of body armor in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm or ammunition without a firearm identification card, assault and battery on a family or household member, witness intimidation and use of a motor vehicle without authority."

And they plea out "Charges of possessing a firearm with the serial number defaced and improperly storing a firearm were dismissed."

Thank goodness "Mr. Largesse was ordered to have no contact with the victim, to remain drug-free, to complete a batterers' program, to possess no weapons and to pay $650 in restitution."

I can't shake my head enough...[banghead]

"use of body armor in the commission of a felony"

This is a thing? Really? so it's worse if you use body armor in the commission of a crime as opposed to just committing a crime in a denim jacket?
