LIL WAYNE Charged by Feds ... POSS. OF FIREARM, AMMO

"According to the records from the search warrant used on December 23, 2019, to search Wayne’s private jet, the YMCMB capo appeared high and admitted to the authorities to owning the gun which he said he received as a Father’s Day gift. Officers also found bullets, suspected cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, heroin, pain killers, prescription-strength cough syrup and $25,938 in cash."

No drug charges filed?

Maybe he had a prescription for the cough syrup? Or they would have really thrown the book at him.

Lil Wayne's just been hit with a federal weapons charge and could face serious prison time if convicted.

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida has charged the rapper with 1 count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. Weezy -- who was convicted of a felony gun charge in NY back in 2009 -- faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

The charge is for a December 2019 incident where federal agents searched Wayne's plane at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. He was a passenger on that plane, which made a stop in Florida on its way to California.

At the time ... Wayne's attorney, Howard Srebnick, had said his client was "cleared" to leave even though guns and drugs were reportedly found on the plane. It appears now the feds believe Wayne was wrongfully in possession of a weapon and ammunition.

Srebnick tells TMZ ... Carter was charged for possessing a gold-plated handgun in his luggage back in December. The lawyer says, "There is no allegation that he ever fired it, brandished it, used it or threatened to use it. There is no allegation that he is a dangerous person."

He added, "The charge is that because he was convicted of a felony in the past, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm."

Wayne's scheduled to appear in court next month.

It almost the sack and puppet show like appearance one might say

If he got busted on a warrant on a chartered plane, good chance the pilot or first officer ratted him out; the so-called "anonymous tip" coming from the flight deck. Under civil forfeiture laws, the aircraft could be seized and sold, with the pilots losing their jobs with the charter company and possibly their FAA licenses. During the 2007 recession, a friend got "downsized" and took a part time job driving limousines to make up for the lost income. Prom season was prime time. Other drivers took cash bribes from the high school kids chartering the limos to keep the partition up (for obvious reasons!) and to allow them to indulge in underage drinking. My friend refused to do so. He was responsible for the safety of his limo and his passengers. He took that responsibility seriously.

Its a shame to have a lil wayne thread and not include this gem of a deposition.

Good grief...

It's no wonder some of these people just get let go back into society.

How can this gentleman get convicted of anything with a deposition like this.

He has the mind of an 8 year old.

Why is he even talking to these people.

Does he not have the right to remain silent?

This why there is a two tiered justice system.

One for white people who are held responsible for their actions and one for certain other types who know not what they do.
