Shame isn't it? DW was an absolute jewel before 1990. The first time I ever ran for distance was in DW, around the resevoirs. It was awesome because they only allow motor vehicles in one lane.I remember chics rollerskating in the summer, kids and families on bikes or walking. Then you had to feed the ducks near the waterfall. And the park was open all night, gates never locked.Apparently some of the trails were frequented by gay men playing hide the pickle in the woods and after a couple of murders, they started to lock the gates at night.I haven't been through the park in at least 25 years.
