Long gun private sale from MA to CT

does anyone know the laws pertaining to long guns? Looking to sell a friend my mini 14 just over the line in Connecticut. The gun is currently registered to me in massachusetts.

Bring it to your FFL and they’ll ship it to his FFL....

Or even easier. You drive to the FFL in CT and meet your buddy there to do the transfer. Last I looked, there’s no permit required in CT to possess a long gun, only to purchase.
