Hello,

I used to belong to the Lawrence Gun Club for a few years. I enjoyed shooting outdoors and didn't have to deal with anyone watching over me when I shot, meetings or chores. Just shooting was nice and it was a relaxing, fun trip when I'd go with my father. Financially, it was hard for him to justify the cost because we never used the indoor range due to the lead only restrictions. It wasn't the best with lighting or ventilation so we only used the outdoor range, and only when weather permitted. The nail in the coffin came when gas prices went up so now I'm trying to find something close to Peabody.

I'd like to find a good, well lit and well ventilated indoor range that doesn't restrict me to lead bullets only, or to my handguns. I only have .38's, .357, and 9mms. I work out of state and get home late so I don't want to be committed to meetings and required chores. I just want to enjoy shooting again with my father at a good club. I looked at the Danvers Club but the hours stink and their site says nothing about allowing a guest for free. I'd like to join and take my father as a guest and more than once a month. I'd like him to enjoy it too and be able to take an instructor there for lessons. Maybe I'm expecting too much? I do know about Bob's in Salisbury, and I had gone there for a while, but I can't afford to drive out there anymore. Can anyone advise me on some options. Thank you.

I'm a member at Lawrence R&G and the indoor range is NOT lead only! Restrictions are no magnum or hollow points, but FMJ or JSP or LRN is fine. Rimfire rifles are ok indoors as well.
