Hey,

Filled up with gas this morning and no longer have my wallet, I'm guessing I left it on the pump or the bed rail of my truck, already retraced my route and checked at the station with no luck.

Cancelled cards already and have a replacement drivers license coming but my LTC was in my wallet, of course I'm now out of the house with a pistol and no license and not sure how to replace it? Pistols locked in a case in my center console now and I'll be headed home ASAP to drop it in the safe.

What are the steps for getting a replacement license? TIA

When I lost my wallet at the range I just went and got a duplicate license from the police station,I think it took like 2 weeks. Not sure if there was a charge or not.
Per MGL there is NOT supposed to be a charge. Years ago I heard that Boston PD was (of course) charging people. I think that "may" have stopped however.

The suck part is if a non-gun-friendly person with a criminal bent finds it...
They now know where you live...
and own guns.

Double down on security and carry at all times. THIS IS NO JOKE!

Wishing you the best and that the finder is cool...

Only took me a week for a replacement after notifying police that I misplaced/lost LTC. About a month later, I found the old LTC in my printer. I was scanning it into my computer, got distracted, and forgot about it. [laugh]

When I called the issuing officer and said that I found it, I was told to destroy the old LTC.

My experiences with stolen/found wallets has been that people are gooder than you think. One guy found my stolen wallet in a garbage, dug out as much as he could find and tracked me down at a job site to return it. I would have given him some cash but I lost it in the aforementioned theft.

I hope someone gets it back to you.

I was getting gas at a station in Holliston last year. The car in front of drove off, and I saw a wallet fall into the street.

I retrieved it, and looked up the address in Franklin.

Drove to the house, and asked the woman who answered the door if Susie lived here.

I even gave back the $7 that was in the wallet.......:)

Hahaha needed a laugh, thanks for that!

Maybe a silly question, but did you check with employee's and Management / lost and found?

I did check with management there and left my business card with my contact info so hopefully it turns up but I'm not holding my breath on it

Good luck, hope you have a good outcome.

Lost my wallet about 5 years ago with about $200.00 cash, no wallet or contents was ever returned.

Went to the PD to let them know about the lost LTC, and they had me file a police report on the lost wallet.
Don't ask me why, I didn't ask, I just wanted to get it over with.

Refresh my fading memory, do they issue a new LTC number and PIN too?

A few years ago we were in upstate NY Steel Heading in the dead or winter, most likely December. If you are familiar with Upstate NY it snows quite a bit especially in the lakes with a lot of lake effect snow. A friend of mine who lives in PA. must have dropped his wallet in the parking lot where we parked to get to the river. When we got back to our room he realized his wallet was missing. We retraced our tracks, however we never found his wallet. He was contacted in May that is about when all of the snow banks are melted, six months after he lost his wallet someone had found his wallet and wanted to return it. They tracked him down using his drivers license. Talk about going the distance of being a nice guy.

Might show up. I watched a woman drive off from a Walmart parking lot and had left her small purse in a shopping cart. I was gonna bring it into the store but I wasn't sure that I trusted them. I was afraid an employee might lighten up the cash supply in the purse. So, I brought it home and called her house. She answered and in 10 minutes she was at my door to retrieve it. Worked out just fine.

Been robbed twice, once they took the whole wallet, once they were "kind" enough to fish through it for money and a blank check and then give it back to me and once I lost it, went back and someone had turned it in including the cash that was in it. And once I dropped it when I sat down in a lobby and saw it on the chair on my way out and thought, "hey, that looks like my wallet" and went over and grabbed it.

It takes all kinds I guess.

Good luck, maybe it'll show up in your mailbox one day soon.

This story would have been better if you found it when you went to scan your new LTC. I had to get a replacement birth certificate once when I was running for president and said "I'm gonna put this somewhere safe this time", and I put it right on top of my original. What a moron.

Had a similar scare almost a month ago, at Fenway Park, no less. My wallet slipped out of my back pocket at a game and down into the clutter under the seat. We were up in the Pavillion on the 3rd base line, four levels up from the street. We took our time exiting, hitting the restrooms on the way out, then people-watching out on Lansdowne St while the wife had a smoke. It was over a 1/2 hour post game that I noticed I had lost it... thankfully there is a lost and found office that stays open an hour after events that we stumbled upon about an hour after. They handed me a business card with a number to call the next day. To our surprise, an off-duty usher overheard us in that office and offered to escort us back to out seats to look! It was four floors up and 180 degrees straight across, so as far away as a seat could be.... and sure enough it was right under my seat! That usher's name was Ron and he wouldn't accept a tip, saved me countless hassles that night and restored my faith in mankind somewhat. Hope you have an outcome here that is positive!

Never lose your wallet again!
