It's a pretty quiet place in general. The only time I've seen people there is Sunday mornings. I'll usually go there if Leominster is crowded on the weekends. I don't get out there too much though -- maybe about 10 times a year. It's my fall-back club.
ahh gotcha. ya last sunday there was an archery shoot going on but the pistol and rifle ranges were deserted. nice being able to shoot without distractions all morning i gotta say
Both are pretty "rustic". The pistol "range" is just a small area next to an abandoned cabin. I almost never shoot there because I tend to lose lots of brass in the grass. The rifle range is 100 yards, and it's got markers at 50 and 25 yards, so you can walk up when you have the range. I usually have the place to myself, so I'll shoot pistol there. Under those conditions, it's also a great place to work on transitions and firing while moving forward.
they are in the process of making a new site, so its pretty barebones right now.
like tele said, its very rustic. i like how i have the range to myself. it works for what i need right now, and fit the old wallet nicely. i would still like to join an indoor range one of these days
So tonight my wife and I went to the monthly meeting at Lunenburg Sportmen's Club and were accepted as new members.
We chose this as our first membership because my wife's brother and father go there, and it's close to home. Very nice and friendly folks there, made us feel welcome.
Now I just need to actually get something I can shoot with!
