Sorry if this has been asked before, but the only related thread I could find was in the training section.

I know some of the earlier models had issues with the bolt. Has anybody bought one recently, if so opinions? Is it worth buying? It seems like a pretty good deal all things considered.

i'm pretty sure im in the thousands of rounds through mine. it's insane how fun that little gun is. i had my son shooting this weekend. pew pew pew

Got mine about 2 months ago and absolutely love it. Mine is as accurate as my bolt action 22. Just pay attention to the manual ( I know, who reads those?) it is ammo picky and they tell you some brands to avoid. Lots of fun!

i run CCI mini-mag JHPs only. never had issues in it or with my Ruger 10/22. what do you run? -just curious

i had some serious wax build up from a couple boxes... started having malfunctions, but that was after well over 800 rounds. -both rifles btw. i like to know the limits. [wink]

eta: i've also ran the CCI Lead nose, standard velocity too. but up to 500 rounds... that stuff is a little dirtier.

Picked one up today, took it to the range afterwards, I love it. I am going to pick up a couple of the shorter mags though, the full size mag that only holds 10 rounds is pretty silly looking. What are you guys using for scopes (if you have attached a scope to yours).

If i'm just plinking I will use Winchester expert hv. If I am target shooting I have found CCI standard velocity to group the tightest. Remmington Viper also worked well. I tried winchester wildcat, I didn't have any fte or ftf but the accuracy wasn't very good.

CCI recently released some 40 gr .22LR supposedly designed specifically for these "tactical 22s." I bought a couple bricks a few weeks ago but haven't gotten around to shooting it yet. (It could just be a gimmick, but I figured it's worth a try.)

For accuracy I've had pretty good luck with Wolf match in my .22 ARs.

I bought mine when they first came out, and it's one of my most shot guns. Reliability has always been great, and it hasn't griped much about ammo. I usually only run CCI SV, but it's eaten a bulkpack or 2 of Golden Bullets with very few failures (I blame the crap ammo)

irons.

i've been thinking of a acog or aimpoit "knock off" to mimic my zombie gun. but i shoot it and forget. pew pew pew.... gun is a blast, ey? [smile]

I just dont get why they cant get these new tactical guns to run....I mean really My Remington speedmaster eats anything includeing shorts good for about 800 rounds before it gets gritty
I have a old marlin 99 westernauto branded that easily goes 1000rnd with out issues?
My new tactical solutions has been really good...so far 700ish rounds seems to be the limit befor it gets to dirty. takes all but the remington thunderbolts
Ihave found the only issue with the lube on 22 LR is the feed lips on the mags gets gunked up on my black dog machine mags.

As far as the S&W M&P 22 the only thing stopping me was it did not take black dog or ciener kit style mags....

My dad picked one up a couple months ago from Kittery, Maine with the 10 round magazine, which was a bit surprising to find. We've put a ton of rounds through it over the last couple weeks and it's definitely been one of our first choices to bring to the range. I was a bit surprised at how tight my groupings were at 100 yards. I was using Remington Thunderbolts and standing. I didn't take any measurements.
