all i've heard is that very few people have actualy fired one. They're made out of polymer instead of metal for body as well. They look cool and i've been trying to find some, i'm not sure if they've been released to general public or not yet though.
there was already a thread about this a month or so ago, i believe it comes out (in mass) in october
I just posted this is in the build it yourself section.
Our rep said it is probably going to be later than October and like any arrival, will not come in large numbers at the beginning.
We are already taking paid deposits for them. The msrp is $500 so most places will be pricing them a little less. They will be neutered in this miserable state.

That's the word on the street. Free states should be getting them in early September, so I would expect reviews to be popping up soon.
I'm still trying to decide between one of these, a Sig 522, or a Spikes dedicated upper.
At this point I'm leaning towards Spike's. I think there's going to be too much plastic on the S&W and Sig for my liking.
