Looks like Bud's Gun Shop was leaked a non-photoshop picture.

This idea has the potential to make me really happy, but I suspect it will be yet another zinc P22 clone.

This. Many people who would want one for practice will have non-factory sears and springs in their receivers.

That's also why I'm wondering if we'll find out that the internals don't resemble the M&P.

Excellent point. However a lot of the gunsmithing work to make the M&P usable are performed on the upper (e.g. the safety plunger).

Almost all the work is in the lower
The FP safety is a small fix and quick to do.

I hope they're the same size as the 9/40 and they make one without the stupid thumb safety.

I'll agree with the chorus who would've preferred an upper. I'd like a 5" version also.
