Are their any .308 AR10 style rifles that take M14, M1A 20 round magazines? I seem to remember that some models did, and others needed modification.

I've got a bunch of new M1A mags wrapped in plastic from my 1993 panic buy that are calling to me.

I doubt that they still use converted m14 magazines as they were selling them off last year very cheaply. I seem to remember that they changed the design to use another magazine design.

So none of the .308 AR style firearms use the mags? I may have to look back at the M1A family.

I would call up Armalite before you rule it out. While they sell their new mags, perhaps their new production rifles can still use converted M1A magazines.

CONVERTING 20 ROUND M-14/M1A RIFLE MAGAZINES TO AR-10
MAGAZINES

High quality metal 20 round M-14 or M1A magazines can be converted to AR-10B series
magazines. U.S.G.I. magazines are best. ArmaLite® AR-10B magazines are not
interchangeable with early AR-10 (waffle) magazines or with SR-25 magazines.

New 10 round magazines are available from ArmaLite®. ArmaLite sells AR-10 20 round
magazines when available. “Post-Ban” 20 round magazines are available to government
and export purchasers.
