M4 Stock Question

Im trying to figure out how I can tell if my M4 buffer tube is Milspec or Commercial . I feel like I should know this and I dont. Any help would be appreciated.

Who made the rifle?
DPMS, Bushmaster, Rock River, possibly others use commercial.

STAG, LMT, Noveske, Colt, use Mil-Spec.

I am not sure about smith and wesson.

Stag Arms is the manufacturer, so then Milspec from your information Im gathering. Thanks in advance

mil-spec (1.14" diameter) and commercial (1.17" diameter).

Also Mil-Spec has a flat back to the tube. Measuring is the best way to tell though.
