I just go my MA. Amateur Vanity License Plates today. It all went smoothly at the registry I had my RMV-3 all signed and stamped by my insurance co., my letter from the DOT that my plates were in, my old plates in hand and I only had a 5 minute wait . Who else has them?

Now I have call envy. I still have the 2X2 the FCC issued me.

I'm not sure I want my call on my plate for Op Sec reasons (I know, "paranoid much?"). Most of my operating is CW and I love QRP so was thinking of something along those lines: CW QRP, 5W QRP, CQMORSE, etc.

Sounds cool. I am not paranoid I know how some people feel about these plate identifying you and setting you up to have your house broken into, however the statistics do not show this is a problem.
I am not concerned, besides if someone robs me I get to get all new stuff.
That would put me into a Flex 6700 with a Mistro controller.

1X2 here for a lot of yrs
every now and then i get some youngster asking me where he can get a plate with a lightning bolt on it....

I got rid of my amateur plate, replaced it with a Veterans flag plate.

Quite honestly I prouder of being a Vet than being a ham, cheaper too, I got paid to be in the Navy [rofl]

PM me...I'm sure we can arrange an "incident" at your house! [rofl2]

2x1 call on my plate. Had some drunk guy reading the plate and thought the lightning bolt was a dagger.

Yep, me too. I considered putting my ham call on my vet plates but decided against it. re:cost. vet plates=free...initial plates: not free.
