Definitive answer from Chief Ron Glidden on cost/process if needed to replace an old "horseblanket" style LTC/FID if lost or stolen.

1. Replacement for an active old style license is free.

2. If it's an old style LTC and the PD now has MIRCS, they get the new replacement LTC through MIRCS free with the same expiration date. If there is any problems on-line with MIRCS doing this, the PD just calls CHSB and they fix it internally.

3. Same for FID or LTC.

When I lost my wallet with LTC, I notified local PD by email (Firearms admin).

I had a replacement mailed to my house within a week at no cost.

I was impressed with the process.

To replace my DL, I had to pay a $20.00 admin fee for a new license.

.

Just to share a recent experience with an LTC that was detroyed (by mistake):

Contacted the local PD (Townsend) and explained what happened and provided my LTC PIN. They ordered a replacement which arrived in 2 weeks with a new license number and PIN. There was no charge for the replacement.

Are you sure of this?

I was told that they would re-print with same LTC #, dates, etc.
