Mass LTC holder: personal rifle transport form Mass to Maine

My buddy in Maine is begging my to come up and visit. "Oh yea bring your new Sig 516 patrol rifle." So the route is Mass, NH, and Maine. I have a truck with a locking hard cover and tailgate. Anyone care to offer some legal insight ?

Just store it unloaded in your trunk with your ammo in the same trunk and you're good. NH and ME treat an unloaded long gun in your trunk like how normal states should.

NH and ME have zero transportation requirements for rifles, aside from the fact that they cannot be loaded. Do whatever you do for MA, and you will be covered in ME and NH.
