Members at Walpole Sportsmen's Association?

Hi All -

I was wondering if anybody out there who's a member at Walpole Sportsmen's Association would mind showing me around. I live nearby and am hoping to get into shooting clays.

I was there for years. Go down Sunday AM and someone will give a tour. Bring a sgotgun too. Open to public.

Edin508 is a member and a PM might set you up for a visit on another day if you like.

There are plenty of nice deer to bowhunt on roughly 300 acres. Club owns around 90.

Thanks. Went down yesterday and shot a couple rounds of trap. Their new five stand setup is pretty cool too. I'll try to get out there Thursday as well.

Sorry I missed ya ! And too bad you didn't show up on Sat., we had our pig and beef roast. Mmmm Probably made the Sun. morning crowd pretty light, lol.

And this weeks project for me, a new 16 button set up for the 5-stand. Should make that very interesting, lol. And I got to get some red lights and random timers on the skeet houses for international targets.
I am the building and maint. guy for the club, as well as a trustee board member.
And don't listen to Fixxah, there are NO deer on the property.

Hey Fixxah, they bought me a tractor this week, old Ford 420! Bout time. 60" finish mower, 60" brush hog and a bucket.
3-D shoot at the end of the month too.

Anytime you want to head down to the club, let me know. I am only a mile from there.

Edin - there were actually still cars from Saturday in the parking lot, so yeah I guess it was a good time! Thanks for the offer to shoot; I might just take you up on that.

The setup for triggering the 5 stand did look like it could use some "polish." Sounds like you've got it under control but if you decide to do something fancy, I'm an electrical engineer by education and (original) trade and might be able to help you out if I can remember my fundamentals. One time back in the day I built a wireless fireworks launcher for fourth of july mayhem.

Bob (don't know the last name) showed me around and pulled the trap for me and another new guy by the name of Ed. I am shooting with a new gun and had no idea where the shot was going. Afterwards I spent a little time with the pattern board and hopefully got it all figured out.

No official loaners. But we are pretty much like here (NES), ohh that gun looks nice, here, try it!
The 870 is all you need though, hell, I use a 20g to shoot, it's what I have. Trap is only one shot per turn unlike skeet or 5 stand where you have multiple targets. And if you show up on a Thursday night to shoot, bring a couple extra bucks for a steak and cold beverage.

Haha! How do you spot an NES member at the trap field? Look for the dude with a V-tac sling and door breacher instead of choke tube. Love it man! Looked like you were having a great time with the perma grin going on. And it was nice to meet you, sorry I couldn't stay longer.

PS.. Just one doe and fawn on my camera in 4 days.

Go get a barrel for that 870, and shoot what ya got. Gonna take a while to save up for a nice trap/skeet gun. OR... Give me a little more notice, as I don't look here every day, and I could bring ya down something to shoot. I have a mossy 500, and someone gave me a new trap barrel and choke tube for. Never tried it! Someone should.
