I think I'm at that stage now...but setting myself a goal. On Sunday when we go to NH, I'll drop my Danish Krag and the Smith-Corona off on consignment, unless someone yells before then. I will also let go of several of my remaining high end pieces to expand another hobby....but keeping the ones that are special to me.

My wife is into two second job interviews...so that is good...but yesterday we got a bad medical diagnosis...so that's not good...

The GOAL...1940 Pontiac Special Six Business Coupe...
1940 PONT.jpg
1940 PONT INT.jpg
The 1967 Mustang is still for sale, and most likely the 1955 Pontiac.

So, Here's what I have...

1. qve45 K43; stock mismatch, but this is as it was brought back. Original sling, muzzle cover, cleaning rod, mismatch but original scope and base, full butt kit (oiler, firing pin, manual), reproduction lens covers, shooter's kit installed, original gas tube and cover. $4500. This one I don't mind keeping. SOLD without the scope.

1A. Original G/K43 DDX 4X scope, original Walther e/359 base, reproduction lens shades and covers. Base may have been Czech post war modified with cut out....$1500 TRADED

2. 1975 Smith & Wesson M66 .357, 2.5 inch barrel in stainless. T-grip, spare Pachmyr grips, and a couple boxes of ammo...$1200 Just found out that this very model was in Clint Eastwood's in The Gauntlet, 1977.

3. M17 Colt DA .45, Delivered to Springfield 1 of 2,000 on 3/9/1918. Rebuilt by Springfield inter war. Several Moon Clips...$950 SOLD

4. Near mint M1903 Colt .32 automatic, December 1920. Replacement, original rubber grips. Original damaged wooden grips... $950 SOLD

5. Rock-Ola M1 Carbine. Expendable with the return of my Winchester Carbine. Restocked with an original, early I-cut Rock-Ola stock and handguard. Original Avery '43 magazine pouch, three Rock-Ola magazines, original 1944 muzzle cover. $1300 SOLD

6. The just arrived 1916 bolt mismatch Gew98M, E.W.B. post war use, rearsenaled c. 1936-7. $750

7. LUB Co. 1943 original experimental M1 carbine engineer's holster...$300

8. 3/43 Smith-Corona M03A3. Remington rear band, post war sling...$1100

9. 1892 Danish Krag, duffel cut repaired. Original M15 sling, 1894 bayonet/scabbard, 40 rounds Buffalo Arms Ammo...$850

10. 1899 M98 American Krag Jorgenson, fully equipped. $850 SOLD

11. Found my matched Mauser made K98, so my matched 1939 Sauer is expendable. All original all correct, save an armorers rear trigger screw and band spring. Original sling, early style muzzle cover, and original unnumbered cleaning rod. Bore is goood, about 80% finish, but this one made it through all of WW2....$1600

12. HRA CMP field grade M1 Garand...tbd

13. RC CYQ P-38.....tbd

I will have 4 transfers starting in January
FTF cash preferred in New Bedford
“I’ll take it” trumps discussion

MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN THE COLT 1903, BUT WOULD NEED TO SEE IT. I'M NORTH OF BOSTON, WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

THANKS, PAUL

Watching "Gauntlet" with Clint Eastwood and the late Sandra Locke 1977....He's carrying a S/W M66 2.5 stainless with blued rear sight just like mine...

Majspud, are there any markings like a letter stamp on the opposite side of the 32 Colt marking on the magazine? Like they did with the 45 mags, designating a maker of the mag, or since it was Colt stamped, there is no other maker?

Rock-Ola SOLD

Smith-Corona and the Danish Krag are on consignment in NH. I may consign future pieces there...more exposure. Consignment sales still go through me.

Here's what's left:

1939 Sauer K98
1975 S/W M66 .357
Danish Krag
Smith Corona
HRA Garand (in hand 1/6)
1943 Engineer's carbine holster

There is also this gorgeous '39 Deluxe 6 Sedan....same price as the '40 coupe...seems to be missing the heater and spare tire...
