I have been a walking zombie with this cold, no energy.
The I have a few more pistols to bring out

I must have missed where it switched from military issue pistols only, to ANY C&R pistols. I better get busy. Also FU if y'all think I'm gonna post every single C&R pistol I have. LOLOL.

Still 50F and windy, but not-blow-the-target-away windy. 48 rounds NATO spec 9mm out of the ‘44 Walther P38 at 50 feet, and 10 rounds +P .32 from my new Savage at 25 feet. No function issues. More felt recoil out of the Savage than the PPk; maybe as it has another 1/2 inch of barrel. Almost forgot the ammo. Did forget he paper plate for the Savage; had to improvise.

Blurry target!

I have printed out a bunch of extra targets.
Hopefully I can get the Hi-Power out again next week.

1912 M06 Colt Police Positive .38 special, late (late) of the Westchester Co. NY Sheriff’s office.

This model was called the “Positive” in that unlike its predecessors, it would not discharge if dropped when cocked.

50F, overcast, windy, damp like snow was coming. Ammo was Federal Champion match 148gr wadcutters doing 770fps and 208 ft/lbs. Although a “weak” load, there is a heavy recoil with the small grip and light frame. Always fun to shoot. A nice carry gun, but the large front sight hangs up in the holster.

12 rounds each target. Wadcutters do leave nice round holes.

Shoot ends in 8 days, 3/19, the vernal equinox, at dusk. Last rush! Temperatures do not matter.

Make that 48F; dropped 2 degrees since I arrived and 9 degrees since I left the house.

I should add that this shoot was done with my spare pair of glasses, two prescriptions out of date. My regular pair is out getting new lenses since my eyes have stabilized after my heart attack.

Finally found a shoulder rig that fits and is comfortable. Had to get it all the way from Russia. Only issue is that I have to wear it upside down as I am a lefty. Holsters were reversible, however.

The 1915 Colt .380 is in it. The heavy Buffalo Bore .380 also came today. Pretty respectable next to other .380, .38 special, and base 9mm.

75 gr, 1150 fps, 294 ft-lbs
Yesterday Federal .38 special wad cutter: 148/770/209
Pictured Federal 9mm: 115/1145/323

love wad cutters , fun thing with wad cutters is you can run them slower than 700fps getting recoil way down.

P38 BYF44 all matching 97/120/1X Yugo M57 104/120/3X
finally a day I get out thats not 30mph+ winds , wind and snow! bit chilly vs the last few weeks though.

The P38 has shot better for me with Winchester and PPU but all I had was the Fed on hand. Took 3 sighters that went high then readjusted my hold. The trigger on this is really nice even double action

Yugo M57 ( i wrote romanian on the target) all matching as far as I can tell
sights are small but this gun with wolf gold shoots well and if I shot more pistol and brought my correct Rx I probably would have held the black. Great little pistol and wish I bought a few more when they where coming out of the old classic for $129 trigger is not bad. its a little sloppy on the take up but breaks clean and crisp. Wish they did not have to ruin these with the addition safety to import them. I removed the safety on mine but it leaves a hole, o well I buy them to shoot them not look pretty

That high left 6 on the Yugo target was a hot ass load , the few guys on the line both turned and said WTF was that it was shot 8 , very noticeable in both recoil and muzzle flash.
As hot as the 7.62x25 is its a "soft" shooting pistol

Probably one of my top 5 favorites. 1937 Colt .38 Detective Special. Added T Grip. Fiocchi 130gr FMJ/RN, 960fps/263ft-lbs. Carry load Remington 125gr SJHP 945/248. I have some +P Buffalo Bore 158gr hard cast semi wad cutters coming; they are an insane 1200fps/555ft-lbs out of a 4 inch barrel...1000/351 out of a snub nose. Considering NATO 9mm is 124gr/1100fps/356ft-bls, that's pretty good.

55F, 50 feet, sunny, light breeze. Really got going on the 3rd target. I'm just an old school revolver guy at heart. All shots with the 1912 and this one were double action.

Not bad for a snubbie.

Interesting. Do you have a link for that? I need a holster for my 1903...

Paul owner of Warbird Leather makes some nice holsters for the 1903. I hate to link to another forum but we won't find him here on NES.

Thanks, I'll check him out. And I wouldn't worry about linking to another forum. IIRC, I have a login over there, too. I do love my 1911s; just got another one last week.

Wow... I haven't logged in there since November, 2006... and my password is still good.

I still have several targets printed out, too. If I weren't sequestered, I could have entered some more.

The prize panoply:

1- .45 caliber Trapdoor infantry bayonet
2- 1944 Hungarian? 8x56R original ammo, clips, box
3- MN91/30 oiler
4- brass rifle wall hooks
5- Korean M1 Carbine bandolier
6- reproduction German WW2 full size .32 holster; Walther PP, M35 Beretta, Mauser HSc, CZ27, etc.

I will shortly draw random winners and they can choose their prize.

And the Winners. Closest post with target that was not me. First gets first choice, etc. If someone won twice, I voided it to spread the wealth.

1. 27 (28) 45caliber
2. 92 (86) cjrubes
3. 79 (77) daekken
4. 41 (40) Andy in NH
5. 100 (102) Mac1911
6. Me. Looks like there were only 6 of us that played.

Hope every one had fun. If you don't want a prize, that's fine. PM me your name and address.
