I've been using both an Thompson Center Omega with pyrodex pellets and Power Belt bullets for years and taken many deer from 25 yards out to 100 yards no issue. Also use my Thompson Greyhawk as well with Pyrodex loose powder with the same bullets with great results. Grey Hawk is traditional cap lock Omega use 209 primer usually Winchester. Never really looked into the new stuff yet.
