Moms demand at Framingham staples March 5, 1030

They are rallying, saying none of them will ever shop staples again, and they will feel that come school time next fall. I'm not sure staples fears 8 women-or 12000-not shopping there. They are organizing an email campaign now. Way to really piss them off

I think they need to stay home and order online if they are scared about people with guns being in the same stores as them because I carry EVERYWHERE

maybe this is the key, call them out on their hypocrisy and their exclusions and force them to boycott everything, everywhere, maybe they will all starve to death

Watts isn't just some mom. Look at who this woman has worked for and works for now:

In her former career as a communications executive, Watts experience ranging from being public affairs officer for Missouri Governor Mel Carnahan, the Missouri House of Representatives, the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Vice President of Corporate and Public Affairs at FleishmanHillard, Director of Global and Public Affairs at Monsanto Corporation, Director of Global Communications for GE Healthcare, and then Vice President of Corporate Communications at WellPoint, the nation’s largest health insurance corporation

I just checked muckety.com, but she doesn't come up in their database.

Good for the moms
..heck staples is shuttering almost 300 stores so you wont have to worry about cc there :)

No wonder she isn't in Missouri anymore. She hates guns and worked for Monsanto. Ask any rural resident of Missouri who they'd kick out of town first and if they could only choose one and their choice was between a gun grabbin nut or a Monsanto spokesperson and they'd actually hesitate and think about it for a bit.

I think the blank-hole that brought the small child to this dog and pony show in the cold needs to get slapped. I think the chances of that kid dying of pneumonia now are far more than gun violence.

Shannon Troughton

Previously, Ms. Troughton served as director of Global Communications for GE Healthcare, a $15 billion medical diagnostics and device business within General Electric.

Troughton also served as director of Public and Corporate Affairs for Monsanto Company in St. Louis where she led external initiatives designed to generate positive, proactive media coverage of the company's agriculture biotechnology products.

In addition, Troughton was vice president of Corporate and Public Affairs at Fleishman-Hillard public relations agency in Kansas City, Missouri, where she developed strategic issues and crisis management programs to help protect and enhance the reputation of public and private organizations and corporations.

I have no doubt Barry & MAIG had her fully funded and set up to go up the second Newtown hit the airwaves

No, it's reporting factual information. I might change the title of the page to question if she is a gov't agent instead of declaring it, but otherwise it's all true.

And if the organic food-eating segment of MDA finds out that she was pushing Monsanto's franken-seeds, then Shannon's cred will have some major holes punched in it.

See, the problem is many a "liberal" could easily be turned to the libertarian side if they can just be made to understand that telling other people how to live their lives in one area is no better than someone telling them how to live their lives in other areas.

I need to get people to like the shit out of it for them to notice . As soon as I found out she was a shill for monsanto that just sweetened the pie!
Well all I am going to do is aggregate all the articles and posts I can find on her.

I don't know if I believe that, but of its true, its nice to see them making the mistake of pushing there views on a corporation,

so much so, that they pushed back, like when we pushed Starbucks to favor us

But if its untrue, its possible they are trying to save face on the fact that NO ONE SHOWED UP

But unlike us, its hard to ban moms from the store, unlike us there is no consequence for failure for them, they loose nothing changes

I haven't been on NES lately and just found this thread. I didn't know this was happening until it already had. Staples is already anti gun and has a strict policy on firearms. If any employee even has a firearm on the property (in vehicle, locked i.e.) it is grounds for immediate dismissal never mind CC. Within the past week Staples Headquarters just put in a new security system with operating personnel gates and unarmed guards at all doorways. Guests or visitors to the Framingham main offices are only allowed in the front door and past the security system with a escort. If the visitor goes out any door other than the front they can only re-enter through the front. Even if the escort is still accompanying them they cannot re-enter through any other entrance.

I believe MOMS might have already known the Staples Corporate office policy and I can't presume anything else.

they may have already known the corporate policy for employees but they won't rest until all of us can't carry in any store

The Municipal Police Training Committee sent out new information for all officers, stating clearly in unambiguous language that if a citizen's license allows carry, they can open carry. Officers can demand to see your license, but if you have carry then they must send you on your way and cannot consider it for suitability purposes. Read a Framingham officer's packet so I can confirm.

Obviously we already knew this from the SJC ruling last year, but just letting everyone know that it has trickled down to the street level guys now.

Do you have a link to something? You know some either won't pay attention to info they receive and some anti's in the LE community will ignore it and try to hassle you.

You first, Untill the whole suitability thing goes away, Im all set.

which is why MA politicians and law enforcement are smarter than you think

if you can't make something illegal, just make people scared to do it some other way, same effect

and it works.

The fact is, that if you do something they dont like, they can yank your license and all your guns.

I have too much invested to give up all my guns.

Its not worth it to me, I have no problem conceal carrying.

I open carry in the woods, thats about it.
