Took one of my Mosins (1923 Izhevsk) out in the backyard for a few shots in the snow today. Nothing says Winter rifle like a vintage Mosin Nagant 91/30.

Believe it or not the wood pile is shrinking. Warmer than average winter has left me with a good sized pile still. Just imagine the pictures were taken in Russia and not Massachusetts. [smile]

Thanks. I have one pic set aside to resize for the Parallax contest this month. I came in second last month and am going to keep snapping away untill I get first and have mine in the header over there. [grin]

Thanks for the compliments everybody. For the record, the camera I used is just a cheap Kodak 5.0 that I got for $140 at Circuit City and the rifle is a 1923 ex Dragoon I originally saw at the first Holbrook Sportsman's Club show I went to a few years ago. I went back last year specifically looking for that same vendor hoping he'd still have it and he did at $110. I was able to get it for the original price of $100 I first saw it for the year before.[grin]

Nice picture of a nicely preserved weapon.

There's a difference?
