Today my buddy and I got our new 91/30's out to the range for the first time.

First, it's time to lay out what I'll be shooting today.

First five rounds at 15yds? Not too shabby in my book.

Moved it out to 25 yds and took another 14 shots (let another guy fire one round). Starting to love this gun.

I put a bunch of 9 and 45 down range. Shot my usual at 10 yds, meaning everything is within the silhouette. I'm not a great shot, but I know I can hit a man-sized target at 10yds. I'm happy with that, and I'm getting better.

Finally, decided to wrap up the day by bruising my shoulder a little bit more. Still thrilled to death with this rifle!!

Shooting it indoors? [laugh] Any others there must have been like WTF. I haven't done anything closer than 50yds with mine yet.

Yep, 25yds was the only option we had. Cannot wait to get her out to longer ranges. Given the natural accuracy of this rifle, I got it in my head to put a scope on mine. However, the only options I see require drilling or smithing of some sort and I don't think I want to go that route!

Already have a spam can en route and I'm nursing my bruised shoulder. Yep, I'm hooked!

Theres a company that makes a $40 scope mount that I've heard is easy to install. You'd need to get a long eye relief scope for it though. But it's cheap and effective!

Nice shooting btw!
