Mossberg 930 - what’s your opinion

I like mine. Simple to operate and reliable. It is possible to operate the bolt release/shell catch on a loaded chamber and jam the works up. Don’t do that.

I have the waterfowl versions of both the 930 and 935. They both run flawlessly and eat everything I feed them from light target loads to buckshot.

You will absolutely notice the reduced recoil vs. a pump with 12 gauge home defense type loads. The Mossberg tang safety is also really intuitive in the dark or under pressure. Forward = fire.

I have the JM version and use it for for 3 gun and the occasional trap and/or skeet.

Did some of the Ore3gun aftermarket upgrades to it so now it is close to the JM 940 being offered now.

Great gun IMHO.

My 930 is a JM pro. It’s run flawlessly with everything except low recoil shells.

I have the JM Pro. I dragged it through the OR3Gun catalog and it has been amazing. The only time I noticed it to be temperamental prior to that was in VERY cold weather.
