I have not shot one, handled it, wasn't impressed. We purchased the S&W MP15-22.... all I can say is what a blast!! Thousands of rounds later, we still get all giddy just plikin away indoor all winter at S&W..
I handled the Mossberg Tactical .22 at local shop and it felt like a POS (way too many sharp edges all over it and unsure of the reliability of the action) . If you want affordable and reliable .22 LR, buy the Ruger 10/22. My only beef w/ the S&W 15-22 is the cost and the long 10 shot magazines (pinned 25 rd mag, but they do sell shorter 10 rd ones now) which aren't good for prone or bench shooting. Marlin model 60 tube feeder is MORE accurate and not as threatening looking to the sheeple. I own and shoot all 3 of them. If I was going out to go plink/hunt, I grab my Marlin 60 DLX before the other two.
If you do end up buying one make sure you do a review on it!
