There is no effing way you would get charged with improper storage if the gun was in a locked case in a locked storage unit. None at all. A car is not a locked storage unit. Every storage facility that I have been in has video surveillance. If a unit was broken into, the video would show that there was a padlock on the unit. There is your proof that it was stored in accordance with the law. No DA is going to try to prosecute that.You are making this up out of whole cloth.
