Leave your guns with a friend or family in PA who you trust (or NH, or wherever the guns are legal and transferring them requires no background checks or paperwork). Some day, if you are a freedom loving gun person, you will leave MA - it's guaranteed.

When in MA, sure - get your LTC. Buy a mini 30 with a bunch of 10 round mags, and a low capacity .45, 10mm, or carry pistol, or two. But don't trouble yourself, unless you are law enforcement or some special class, bringing normal guns into the state.
