For those who said this, that it's cheaper to live in NH - rent in half decent border towns in NH is actually more expensive than the cheaper towns outside of Boston, and it is far more expensive than the towns 30 minutes outside of Boston that are in MA. And as a NH resident, rent isn't a MA tax deduction - where it is if you are a MA resident.

Plaistow for instance, any decent 1 bedroom is going to be about $1800/month before utilities. I pay $2200 including utilities for a bigger private single bedroom, it's very nice including central AC wood floors and such, but nothing around here is cheap until you cross into MA.
