Haha I’m sure I could. Anyways, I know “pew pew” has been used for a long time to mimic gunfire but using “pew/pews” as a noun to substitute for the word “gun” is a new thing that has become much more common over the last year or so.


I watched a YouTube video last summer after the platform updated their policies where the dude said going forward he had to use the term “pew” instead of gun. Also, since the new policies prohibit marketing of firearms he couldn't say how much guns cost, so he used the term “doll hair” instead of dollars. I don’t remember which YouTuber that was but I unsubscribed after watching that video.
