MRE recall: Possible Salmonella Contamination in dairy shake powder

If any of you are not yet aware, there has been a recall on all flavors of the dairy shake powder in MREs and UGRs:

DO NOT CONSUME operational ration Dairy shake Powder until further notice. Consumers/end users should remove and destroy the Dairy shake Powder in a manner to ensure it will not be accidentally consumed. The remainder of the MRE/UGR-E menu is consumable and should not be discarded/destroyed.

... I had originally posted this inside another thread, but I think it deserves wider dissemination. I know that these may be a part of your emergency supplies (or fun camping meals for the kids).
