I shot my new MSAR STG556 for the first time at the Pumpkin Shoot in Shirley. About half way through the second magazine it would not feed. I switched mags, but the bolt would not close all the way so I just bagged it. When I got home I field stripped and pulled the barrel. When I looked in the chamber I could see a casing literally torn in half and stuck in the chamber. I was bummed. I emailed MSAR that night. At 9:00 AM on Sunday morning the owner, Anthony Marfione, called me to voice his concern. He just said send it back and we will install a new barrel. He thought it was either a very tight chamber or a burr.

On Thursday 12/4 I shipped it back. On Monday 12/8 I received a call telling me it had arrived and they would go to work. Yesterday 12/11 Collector's Guns (where I had it shipped) called to tell me it was in. I picked it up immediately. I was certainly upset when my new rifle went down, but the customer service was the best I have ever had.

Good to know.

Seems like the firearms industry tends to have a better than average record for customer service.

Some do. Some do not. I know that I will never own a Para again. EVER!! The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never pass up an opportunity to disparage them and this presented an opportunity.

I too got hosed by Para many years back. To make a long story short bought a new P-13 within an hour I was to the range and back to the dealer. The frame broke within the first 20-30 rounds. Para took over 6 months to finally replace the gun.

I heard/read Steyr is coming out with a new AUG soon,so Microtech better be on the ball with their service..[smile]

I just heard that also. I have also "heard" that MSAR may come out with a model that accepts AR mags. Another big one is MSAR coming out with pistol caliber STG's that would take Glock mags. That was already supposed to happen, but seems to have stalled.
