My friend texts me his rifle jammed...

The "brass over bolt" is an uncommon malfunction, but it can be cleared relativity easy.

That's good info, but for the particular case I was dealing with, it was well past the point of being to cleared with just the leverage a human arm could provide. The gun owner had spent an unknown amount of time trying, and failing, to extract the jammed round.

The round was jammed not only against the bolt face, but caught near the rim on the charging handle. The charging handle and the bolt would not move forward or back apart from tool persuasion. I was able to use a combination of tapping the charging handle backwards with a rubber hammer while using a piece of wooden dowel to force the round to stay put as the bolt and charging handle slide backwards. Working this back and forth 4-5 times allowed the round to come far enough forward to drop freely, but left 3 deep gouges in the casing. Next time I'm over there, I separate the upper and lower and snap some pictures of the aftermath. I originally wanted to, but I never got a chance as he had company arrive.

Radical. I have the exact same gun. Zero issues. He probably had a failure to feed and f***ed around with it way too much.
Lol the phrase "exact same gun" and radical don't belong in the same sentence because there is no such thing. 🤣 So basically what you're telling me is your friend is a low IQ skinflint? Like who the hell would have an HD gun that doesn't even have sights on it? 🤣 He kind of sounds like a client I had a long time ago who told me how he NDed a 12G shotgun into his hardwood floor while "unloading" it. 🤣

The same guy that let's his dog play with the rifle. Have you seen all the dog hair on that rifle?

That sh*t probably has so much hair and oil on the trigger components it will jam.

The jam

How did he manage to do that? I had to beat the piss out of the charging handle back and forth till I finally got it to drop out. The rear pin was so tight I could barely get it to move with a punch and was worried about damaging the pins or lower as it came undone.

And he had the balls to complain about some of the powder coat coming off when I finally freed up the round.
Install one of these for him

I don't know man. What is bad about Radical? They cycle, parts fit together well, doesn't rattle, and has reasonable accuracy. I'm not competing with the gun. I'm more practical in what I want a gun to do.

Not a fan. Imho they're maybe top of shit tier. After handling a half dozen of them there were like 2 out of 6 with either bcg or extension problems. One we had to mortar it on the floor just to get the bolt to unlock. 🤣

I would take a PSA or Anderson before radical, frankly. I don't get why people think they need to Flint that hard on a gun that's shooting ammo that's like 25 cents a round or more. 🤣 buying junk is just dumb. I'll never understand the shitlogic of flints, buying stuff with no retained value. I have issues buying stuff that any sane shop would turn someone away on when they tried to trade it in. Shit like radical, ATI, bca, Para Warthogs, etc.... nope. Life is too short to be intentionally swimming in septic tanks.
