NBC Heroes 1911

Does anyone watch Heroes who could identify the 1911 that made 3 separate appearance in this week's episode? I don't know nearly enough about 1911's to know if it was a custom piece or production model that I haven't seen before.

I'm just curious.

Infinity IMM Open, 45 Caliber, AET Titanium Nitride barrel, Bomar sights. Originally delivered to the set of Miami Vice, but getting MUCH more airtime on Heroes. We only got a glimpse of the Tiki in the Miami Vice movie, and the IMM Open was visible only in the extra material covering the filming of the movie that I watched only because I had some battery power remaining in my laptop and I was stuck on an airplane.

In what context did they use an open gun in a TV show?

Mexican standoff. This is a sci-fi show, so they probably wanted a bit of an "out of the ordinary" gun. I do know that the appearance of the gun on this show was definitely a surprise at the factory. We should have a couple of these (but with scopes) at the NES get together this Saturday.
