So I am finally building my precision rifle. I have decided to go with a Savage 10FCP McMillan. The rifle does not come bedded and I wanted to get that taken care of to get every last bit of accuracy I can from it. I am confident I can glass bed the action myself, but I am a little bit nervous about the aluminum pillar bedding. Has anybody here ever pillar bedded their stock themselves? Or does anybody know of a reputable shop that does quality work that can get the job done? I plan on firing at ranges up to 600m and maybe 1000m if I can find a nice clear patch of power lines during coyote season [smile].

Look at the Savageshooters.com forum for Savage 10/110 specific information on bedding & pillars. If you can handle a regular bedding job, you can do pillar bedding.
