I work with the whitest white guy you could imagine. Ginger with freckles. Rides a mountain bike & everything. He just moved to Texas from South Africa and became a US Citizen.

We have three black guys on the team, none of whom have ever set foot outside the USA.

Which is the 'African American?'
 
I've met other NES members that are other than white males. There's a pretty good spread of races here. IME, we share a common interest, so the rest is left out of it. As mentioned by pastera, the [vast] majority don't transmit that they're LGBT when communicating (posting or in person). Which, really, is how it should be.

You have a higher chance of catching crap if your a FUD here.

IMO, bringing up sexual preferences, etc. on these boards (or during meetups) doesn't belong. I'm sure there are other groups that give a venue for that type of interaction.
