This is a Colt Series 70 for John ( his real name) an NES member. It was a really nice Colt that needed some upgrades to fit John's shooting style. The slide was fitted with a Novak fixed rear and a Dawson fiber optic front. The barrel was refit and an EGW thick flange bushing cut to fit the Colt barrel. The frame front strap was serrated to match a Smith and Alexander magwell main spring housing. The frame was also high cut for higher grip position. An extended Wilson slide stop was fit as well as an Ed Brown wide thumb safety which was custom cut to his hand hold. An Ed Brown grip safety was fully blended to the frame with an easy let off. The internals are all new with Warner " true radius hammer and sear as well as a Warner firing pin stop. The disconnector and extractor are Ed Brown. The trigger is a smooth medium length from Harrison Design. The ejection port was lowered and cut for live round ejection.The entire gun was blued in a deep hot blue. Th trigger is set for a crisp 4# break. During testing I was shooting one ragged hole at 25 yards with JHP rounds. Sorry to see this one leave, but John will put it to good use.
