which can be found in the $750 - $950 range depending on reticle choice - that might make it a bit more comfortable starting out

Would welcome thoughts opinions - save some money and start light and get a feel for what I want in a scope, or spend some more money upfront and have no regrets.

Cant really go wrong with either. Both scopes will retain value, so if you really want to upgrade the glass, you can easily sell the Viper and get the Razor, or some other glass. I have the Razor you are thinking about with an EBR-2C reticle and it is an amazing scope, and a bit heavy.

I had a red Radian Raptor CH on there previously but didn’t like that it was one sided. Still don’t know if I should keep it for a 6.5CM build at some point down the line or sell it.

That’s a sweet piece! It’s also at the very top of my list right now so jealousy dictates a side eyed glanceThere’s two in the classifieds, but north of $2k is a bit out of reach for me. The hunt continues. Also, I’d keep the charging handle, it’s not like it’s gonna to go bad. 18” barrel?

20” barrel. All in I was less than $1K (not including the scope). Lots of good people on this forum and lots of good vendors who don’t give 2 [beeps] about shipping to MA.

I’ve gone twice to the range and it shoots very well, the feel is smooth it mitigates recoil well, I love the heavy feel and also the red dot fits and works well. BUT! I am kinda disappointed with the trigger! Don’t get me wrong it is a good trigger but not what I really expected it to be, especially being a “Legion” I have a few other “stock guns” that have a much better trigger and cost less. All in all still a very good gun and I am happy to own one.
